Freshport Asia, Thailand’s cool care specialists, recently attended the Asia Cold Chain Show 2019, hosted by Manch Exhibitions.
The Freshport Asia team in attendance included Mr. Chris Catto-Smith, Managing Director & Principal Consultant; Chris Reichert, Operations and Perishable Handling; and Michael Morritt, Logistics Architect, Implementation Project Management and Solution Design.
On display at the AGC booth was Freshport Asia’s innovative thermal retail cage covers. These custom designed covers are perfect for mixed temperatures and are one of the best ways to combat some of the challenges from ambient deliveries of temperature sensitive products. The innovative, light weight, and fold able design, makes these perfect for reusable temperature sensitive deliveries.

As well as presenting these new cover solutions, Mr. Catto-Smith moderated a panel focused on the Current Status of Cold Chain across Asia. Panel Members include, Mr. Brett Marshall, Corporate Head of Quality Assurance, Zuellig Pharma Holdings (Pharma POV), Mr. Guan Xiaodong, Operating Partner, Advent International(China POV), Mr. Linn Soe Hlaing, Head of Supply Chain Management & Delivery, METRO Wholesale Myanmar (Myanmar Food Wholesale Cold Chain Industry POV). The group discussed many of the challenges facing the cold chain across Asia and where they see industry headed in the near future.
Following this panel Mr. Catto-Smith also delivered a Case Study focused on “The New Retail Cold Chain Frontier: Multi-Temperature Multi-drop perishable Deliveries in ambient trucks.” This is a topic that is near and dear to the Freshport Asia team, as a big part of their mission is to help all shippers get the most out of what they have.
